The project is part of the broader redevelopment of the area commonly known as “La Goccia”, a brownfield site located between the Milano Bovisa and Milano Villapizzone railway stations and the railway infrastructures connecting them. The masterplan has been developed under the guidance of RPBW – Renzo Piano Building Workshop; LAND Italia contributes to the project as a specialist consultant for landscape and environmental components.

“Foresight for Tomorrow”, the vision of Expo 2030 Riyadh, places nature at the very heart of its future-oriented masterplan. Expo will bring the world together to share a collective response to our greatest global challenge — climate change.

Officially announced by Bvlgari on 19th June 2025, the Bvlgari Resort & Mansions Abu Dhabi will rise on a private island overlooking the open sea and the iconic skyline of the capital city.

The landscape design, entrusted to LAND, will feature a visionary landscape, crafted with precision, inspired by culture, and immersed in nature. Spanning across the island, the design will be a living canvas, where dunes, gardens, and crafted forms converge in harmony, each element shaped to reflect the essence of luxury. The landscape will transition from the sculptural to the organic, from varied geometries to soft natural forms, echoing both Italian artistry and Arabian tradition. More than a setting, it will be a living, breathing experience, where tranquillity meets vibrancy, elegance meets identity, and every detail reflects a commitment to beauty, meaning, and a sense of place.

The project of the new detention basin and park area, together with the new bioretention area in Meda represent a point of convergence of fundamental values for sustainable urban development and the improvement of the quality of life in metropolitan areas.

The Vetra Building public spaces regeneration reimagines the urban landscape surrounding Milan’s historic heart, enhancing the relationship between the Basilica of San Lorenzo and Parco delle Basiliche. Through the renewal of streets, squares, and green corridors, the intervention strengthens pedestrian connectivity, restores identity to fragmented public spaces, and merges historical heritage with a contemporary vision of urban life.

The Alpine environment represents one of the most sensitive and meaningful contexts for addressing the challenges of sustainable development. Home to around 13 million people and shared by eight European countries, the Alps are among the largest and most complex territories of the continent from a natural, cultural, and economic perspective. With high biodiversity and landscapes shaped by centuries of human-nature interaction, these territories today face increasing pressures from climate change and intensive land use, calling for forward-looking and integrated strategies.

The project stands out as a new international best practice, introducing a radical transformation in the paradigm of logistics hubs and industrial areas. These areas, once seen as closed-off, polluting, and passive, are reimagined as open, permeable, green, self-sufficient, and proactive spaces that actively reduce environmental impact.

The landscape project for Via Tevere aims to bring people back to the center by creating a dynamic and resilient space—a platform for socialization for students and citizens alike. In line with environmentally conscious design that addresses contemporary challenges, Nature and Water become the project’s structuring elements, capable of providing ecosystem services and creating a sustainable urban environment.

The Community at the Center

Piazzale Loreto is the winning project of a C40 Reinventing Cities competition — promoted by the city of Milan, transforming a former traffic hub into a vibrant, green open-air public square. A permeable and protected space designed to bring nature and people back to the center of urban life.

The project aims to heal the urban and social divide between the southern side of Milan — along Corso Buenos Aires — and the northern districts of NoLo, Via Padova, and Viale Monza, creating a new seamless connection and redefining the identity of the area.

The Renaturation of the Po River is a strategic initiative aimed at restoring the ecological and hydraulic balance of Italy’s longest watercourse. Part of the PNRR framework, the project promotes sustainable development by integrating nature-based solutions, morphological restoration, and innovative design approaches to enhance biodiversity and territorial resilience.

“Green on the Ground” is the landscape-environmental regeneration masterplan of the Policlinico di Milano, aiming to humanize one of Italy’s most important hospital centers. The 8.9-hectare project focuses on environmental comfort, ecological connectivity, and patient well-being through targeted nature-based interventions and a new integrated green infrastructure across the hospital campus.

The regeneration of Parco del Valentino follows a phased approach, focusing on improved accessibility and permeability through landscape enhancement and respect for the area’s historical and cultural heritage. Funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and part of a broader urban redevelopment project led by the city administration, the park aims to enhance Turin’s ecological productivity, providing citizens with visible and measurable sustainability benefits.

The Rettorato Roma Tre project integrates sustainability and urban regeneration through green roofs, vertical gardens, and biodiverse landscapes. Designed to improve microclimate regulation, reduce noise pollution, and enhance energy efficiency, the project transforms the university’s public spaces into a model of environmental innovation and ecological dialogue between architecture and nature.

The Parco Schuster project near to the Tiber, delivers a comprehensive vision for the park’s restoration and enhancement as part of the Giubileo 2025 initiatives. This intervention balances two fundamental design approaches: on the one hand, it focuses on restoring and upgrading existing areas and pathways, aiming to return the park’s well-established spaces to the community with improved accessibility; on the other, it introduces new green areas and activation zones that breathe new life into the park, fostering social inclusivity and reinforcing its identity.

FILI is an ambitious project spearheaded by the Lombardy Region, FNM Ferrovie Nord, and Trenord. It is one of Europe’s most significant urban regeneration initiatives, reimagining the region’s railway infrastructure to foster sustainable mobility and revitalise urban landscapes. This transformative vision centres on the Milan-Malpensa corridor, a vital 54-km axis that links Milano Cadorna station with Malpensa Airport, positioning it as a strategic backbone for the metropolitan area’s future.

Udine Innovation Hub is the regeneration project transforming the historic airfield between Campoformido and Pasian di Prato into a multifunctional, innovation-driven space rooted in nature, promoting biodiversity, sustainable energy, and community participation.

The Masterplan for Mykolaiv, developed within the #UN4UkrainianCities initiative, defines a sustainable vision for the city’s reconstruction through landscape enhancement, reconnecting communities to nature, activating urban polarities, and regenerating ecological and social systems starting from the rivers.

With the Ringpromenade, a 30-kilometre circuit encircling Bozen/Bolzano, the city is evolving from a Nature-positive City to a Nature-positive Landscape—a cityscape that is livable, well-connected to its surroundings, and offers broad access to the values that nature, shaped by centuries of cultivation, provides.

The strategic regeneration of the former SGL Carbon industrial site in Ascoli Piceno reimagines a dismissed area as a resilient and productive green core. This project merges nature, memory, and innovation, aiming to restore biodiversity, enhance environmental quality, and activate new socio-cultural and ecological functions for future generations.

The project for the Museum Of Contemporary Art, Natural History Museum and the Park Of Arts & Culture in Podgorica, Montenegro, seeks to integrate the former barracks’ site with the existing river park located on both banks of the Morača River.

The Urban Green Plan of Trento outlines a co-created strategy to enhance nature as a shared resource, integrating climate adaptation, inclusivity, and biodiversity through adaptive planning and nature-based solutions embedded in urban policy and spatial development.

The BikeOnda project is a transformative initiative to rebalance the demand for sustainable mobility while fostering territorial regeneration in the municipalities of Venaria Reale, Druento, San Gillio, La Cassa, Fiano, north-ovest of Turin.

The new Cremona Hospital, by Mario Cucinella Architects, for which we designed the landscape, presents itself as a ‘city within a city’ that puts nature at the centre. The focus is on integration with the urban and environmental context at the centre with a holistic vision of the concepts of health and wellbeing of the person, integrated with the surrounding territorial systems and the health care network.

The Poetto Waterfront Sport Cluster in Cagliari outlines a strategic vision for the redevelopment of Poetto Park, introducing a system of six specialized sports hubs. The plan enhances the waterfront and natural areas while promoting sustainable mobility, ecological connectivity, and community well-being.
