Corso G.Garibaldi is the first area of intervention of the “Giro dei Viali” and it offers an important opportunity for the city to regenerate, renew and respond to the challenges of climate change and ecological transition; the project, indeed, through actions of depaving and the inclusion of Nature-Based Solutions, renews and regenerates the existing public space without denying the legacy of its past.
The landscape project of the avenue pursues the following objectives:
- “more NATURE”: through actions of preservation and implementation of the natural heritage of the avenue, also in order to generate an increase in urban biodiversity.
- “more SAFE MOBILITY”: through the identification and characterisation of spaces dedicated to cycling and pedestrian flows.
- “more SOCIALITY”: reactivation of the avenue through new devices and furniture, attractive and sustainable, which promote the well-being of the inhabitants.
