Designed by LAND Italia for BrianzAcque, the project combines water management, climate resilience and urban park functions, creating a multifunctional space where environmental protection and everyday public use become part of the same strategy.
The intervention for the adaptation of the intermunicipal collector and the existing retention basin implements a system for controlling meteorological events and floods already present in the area, where three detention and infiltration basins currently exist but are no longer sufficient for water regulation.
The hydraulic protection and safeguarding project brings with it a process of regeneration of the area, covering 5.2 hectares, and of its characteristics of resilience and naturalness. The new park will become accessible to local residents, who will find a natural environment that is not only beautiful, but also rich, connected and attractive.
