The project is part of the broader redevelopment of the area commonly known as “La Goccia”, a brownfield site located between the Milano Bovisa and Milano Villapizzone railway stations and the railway infrastructures connecting them. The masterplan has been developed under the guidance of RPBW – Renzo Piano Building Workshop; LAND Italia contributes to the project as a specialist consultant for landscape and environmental components.

The Vetra Building public spaces regeneration reimagines the urban landscape surrounding Milan’s historic heart, enhancing the relationship between the Basilica of San Lorenzo and Parco delle Basiliche. Through the renewal of streets, squares, and green corridors, the intervention strengthens pedestrian connectivity, restores identity to fragmented public spaces, and merges historical heritage with a contemporary vision of urban life.

The Renaturation of the Po River is a strategic initiative aimed at restoring the ecological and hydraulic balance of Italy’s longest watercourse. Part of the PNRR framework, the project promotes sustainable development by integrating nature-based solutions, morphological restoration, and innovative design approaches to enhance biodiversity and territorial resilience.

“Green on the Ground” is the landscape-environmental regeneration masterplan of the Policlinico di Milano, aiming to humanize one of Italy’s most important hospital centers. The 8.9-hectare project focuses on environmental comfort, ecological connectivity, and patient well-being through targeted nature-based interventions and a new integrated green infrastructure across the hospital campus.

The regeneration of Parco del Valentino follows a phased approach, focusing on improved accessibility and permeability through landscape enhancement and respect for the area’s historical and cultural heritage. Funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and part of a broader urban redevelopment project led by the city administration, the park aims to enhance Turin’s ecological productivity, providing citizens with visible and measurable sustainability benefits.

The Rettorato Roma Tre project integrates sustainability and urban regeneration through green roofs, vertical gardens, and biodiverse landscapes. Designed to improve microclimate regulation, reduce noise pollution, and enhance energy efficiency, the project transforms the university’s public spaces into a model of environmental innovation and ecological dialogue between architecture and nature.

The Arcore Water Park protects the area from flooding and allows people to enjoy a natural environment also designed for social and aggregation purposes. It is large natural reservoir, planted with hygrophilous vegetation species, capable of storing water up to a capacity of 14 thousand cubic metres and then slowly dispersing it. A green meadow on which one can safely walk in the absence of rain, is a symbol and landmark of the park itself.

In Milan’s metropolitan area, the Lura River Retention Basins address the growing challenge of climate-induced flooding. By transforming a once mono-functional agricultural space and low-value wooded areas between Lomazzo, Cadorago, and Bregnano within Lura Park, we’ve crafted flood mitigation basins and new riverbanks using nature-based solutions.

Awarded through a European tender, our project in Taranto’s Tamburi District focuses on transforming a degraded area into a vibrant ‘urban forestation’. This initiative integrates extensive phytoremediation with a public park, enhancing urban nature and community life.

Porto Piccolo Baia Sistiana is a transformative coastal redevelopment project in Trieste, Italy, redefining the relationship between architecture and nature. Developed on a former quarry, the design integrates green infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, and a deep respect for Carsico’s landscape, cliffs, and the renowned Rilke Trail, ensuring environmental and social harmony.

Porta Nuova is the biggest urban redevelopment project ever carried out in the heart of Milan. The project extends over three neighbourhoods (Garibaldi, Varesine, and Isola) and involves a 290,000 m² brownfield site that has been deteriorating for over 50 years. The landscape design focuses on creating a large park and extends to the design of both hardscape and softscape for the inner courts and the main pathways.

The park is situated to the south of Sondrio, at the confluence of the Adda and Mallero rivers. The landscape design introduces a series of concave and convex landforms that evoke the natural contours of riverbanks. The project prioritised using low environmental impact materials and employed techniques such as reforestation and phytoremediation.

The project is located north of Naviglio Martesana, between the area of the metro line Milan / Cologno and Via Piave. It develops and inserts the new architectural building complex and the new viability of the sector, starting from the landscape with several kinds of parks.
