LAND Canada recognized in Montréal 2030 Agenda
As Montréal celebrates 20 years as a UNESCO City of Design, LAND Canada’s work is included among the exemplary references contributing to the city’s vision for quality, design, and climate resilience.
As Montréal celebrates 20 years as a UNESCO City of Design, the city continues to reflect on the role of design as a collective tool for shaping more livable, resilient, and inclusive urban environments.
On this occasion, Valeria Pagliaro, General Manager of LAND Canada, attended the celebration hosted by Andréanne Moreau, Marie-Christine Morin, and Patrick Marmen, with a speech by Marie-Josée Lacroix. The event brought together members of Montréal’s design community to discuss how design quality can move beyond promotion and become part of the everyday governance of cities.

This perspective is closely aligned with the principles of Baukultur and with Montréal’s commitment to the Davos Baukultur Alliance, placing quality, responsibility, and long-term urban value at the centre of city-making.
LAND Canada is grateful to contribute to this shared vision, with its work recognised among the exemplary references in the Montréal 2030 Agenda for Quality and Exemplarity in Design and Architecture. The Agenda supports Montréal’s ambition to strengthen design quality across the city while advancing a broader ecological and social transition.

For LAND, this recognition reflects a common direction: working with landscape as a strategic tool to reconnect people, places, and nature, and to support the transformation of cities toward more climate-resilient futures.
