LAND Research Lab at T-Factor Final Event in Florence, Italy

The final event "Temporary uses, urban regeneration, just transitions: now, next, new" of the European T-Factor project, takes place in Florence with the participation of LAND Research Lab.

The T-Factor project has concluded after four years of exploring the transformative power of temporary uses in urban spaces.

“Temporary uses, urban regeneration, just transitions: now, next, new” is the title of the final event of T-Factor, the research project funded under Horizon 2020 research, putting together various partners and stakeholders.

The conference, which will take place in Florence on May 7, 2024, will delve into these temporary interventions’ critical role in fostering just transitions within European cities. The discussion concerns the necessary foundational changes that enable these practices to effectively support climate neutrality goals, social inclusion, and enhanced quality of life. This event marks a pivotal moment to reflect on the project’s findings and shape future strategies for sustainable urban development.

The LAND Research Lab was involved in T-Factor since the very beginning. Andrea Balestrini will moderate the panel discussion at 11 AM: “Shift in purpose: what if temporary uses embrace goals of just urban transitions”, involving Chris Julien (Waag), Carla Fernandes (NOVA University), Ruta Valusyte (Kaunas University of Technology) and Ilda Curti (University of Turin).
