Lecture “Envisioning a Nature-positive Landscape for Mykolaiv”

Andreas Kipar gives a lecture proposing an integrated urban development concept for the City of Mykolaiv as part of the "Reconstruction Modules Ukraine" project, funded by the DAAD program "Ukraine Digital."

May 7, 2024, from 5 – 6.30 PM CET/ 6 – 7.30 EEST the 4th Lecture Series of the “Reconstruction Modules Ukraine” project, funded by the DAAD Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst program “Ukraine Digital,” continues with the third Lecture.

Moderated by Prof. Dr. Detlef Kurth, Andreas Kipar and the Secretary of the Mykolaiv City Council, Falko Dmytro, will share their insights on cultivating resilient and adaptable landscapes to support the urban reconstruction efforts. They will delve into the participatory process UN4UkrainianCities, aimed at facilitating the recovery and transformation of Mykolaiv into a vibrant and resilient city, by fostering sustainable development and inclusive growth.

The landscapes and resiliency strategies proposed by LAND follow three principles: history, identity and freedom. Thus, we aim to instil hope in Mykolaiv’s future while nurturing biodiversity, enhancing the ecological network, mitigating climate impact, and strengthening the connection between the river, the city, and its residents.

Join us online as we envision a Nature-positive future for Mykolaiv.

The lecture will be translated into both English and Ukrainian and will be recorded and subsequently provided on the panforukraine learning platform: https://futurelearnlab.de/hub/enrol/index.php?id=317 (registration needed).
