Parco Europa, Rho

The Park Europa in Rho is not just a park, but a strategic connector. It serves as a hinge between existing green spaces and sports fields, and also links to the historic garden, agricultural fields, and natural areas along Olona River. This unique design offers a plethora of recreational possibilities, from urban agriculture to leisure activities, sports, and cultural entertainment.

The large central meadow ties the other spaces of the park. It is surrounded by a circular ring path that leads pedestrians along the edges and crosses secondary paths. At the main entrance, a paved plaza highlighted by water features, shaped in an oval layout of water jets and sunken lights, solves the transition from Villa Burba to the park. There are two playgrounds, one for small and one for older children. Dense vegetation mitigates the visual impact of industrial structures in the surrounding area, and the fencing along the east boundary provides shade for the fitness area, turning this space into the park’s main wooded area.
