Conference in Ivrea on Accessibility and Fruition of the Landscape through Infrastructure
How can human interventions actively promote a better connection with the territory? Marco Bonanno and Lucia Miglietta in dialogue with Prof. Riccardo Palma, Politecnico di Torino and Lorenzo Vignono (Sertec), in Ivrea, UNESCO World Heritage site.
On Saturday, 5 October, Marco Bonanno and Lucia Miglietta will be in Ivrea, UNESCO World Heritage Site, for the conference ‘Accessibility and fruition of the landscape through infrastructure.’ The event, hosted by the “Welcome to My House” cultural association and engineering firm SERTEC, will investigate the relationship between infrastructure and nature and how projects like cycling routes and paths, especially if built near waterways, can help reconnect citizens and tourists alike with nature.
Our two LAND architects participate in a presentation and round table moderated by Christiane Bürklein, which includes Lorenzo Vignono from SERTEC and Riccardo Palma, Associate Professor in Architectural and Urban Composition at the Department of Architecture and Design at Politecnico di Torino. The topic is of high interest for the Ivrea to get the visibility it deserves and underline the territory’s natural beauty, with its diverse landscape, thus enlarging the discourse beyond architecture to nature.
Saturday 5 October, 10:00 – 12:00, Polo Formativo Officine H, Via Monte Navale 2, Ivrea
Free event and accredited with the Order of Architects Turin for training credits.
