LANDwalk Düsseldorf: Exploring Urban Resilience

A delegation of city planners from Astana City Hall joined LAND Germany for a special visit in Düsseldorf to explore how landscape architecture can foster more resilient and livable cities.

As part of our LANDwalk initiative, we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of city planners from Astana City Hall for an inspiring visit in Düsseldorf.

Guided by Susanne Gombert and Julian Altmann from our LAND Germany office in Düsseldorf, the group toured some of LAND’s key projects in the city, including the alltours Headquarters and the urban recreation of the “Grüne Haroldbucht” with the H5 ministry building of NRW.

Throughout the visit, discussions centered on how green and blue infrastructures and nature-based solutions can reconnect people with nature, strengthen urban resilience, and unlock the potential of public and private spaces across different scales.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our guests for their valuable perspectives, and to Baum & Bonheur for making this connection possible. Encounters like these highlight the importance of cross-border dialogue in cultivating sustainable futures for our cities.
