Exploring Milan’s Green Spaces with LAND and FAI: A Journey through Urban Regeneration
This October, LAND is excited to partner again with FAI - Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano in guided tours exploring three of Milan's most iconic parks.
For the second year, LAND partners with FAI Milano for informative walks in three parks designed by our firm. These green spaces, transformed through innovative urban regeneration projects, tell compelling stories of reconnecting people with nature, promoting well-being, and fostering biodiversity for the local community.
Here are the upcoming events:
- 5 October: Parco del Portello
- 19 October: Parco Nord, featuring insights from Andreas Kipar
- 26 October: Porta Nuova
Our journey begins at Parco del Portello on 5 October, a striking example of urban transformation on the site of the former Alfa Romeo factory. Designed by Charles Jencks, Andreas Kipar, and the team at LAND Italia, the park showcases a blend of architecture and landscape design that has reshaped an industrial site into a vibrant green space for the city. During the walk, our expert architects will guide participants through this remarkable project’s history and unique design elements.
