The "Corridor de Biodiversité Saint-Laurent" in Montreal was awarded the "Sustainable Development Award" during the 2020 National Urban Design Awards.
The National Urban Design Awards are prestigious Canadian accolades, granted every two years to recognize excellence in landscape and urban design. These awards are jointly administered by three of the most prominent institutions in the field: the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC – IRAC), the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA). The awards celebrate outstanding projects that contribute to the quality of life in Canadian communities, promoting innovative and sustainable urban design practices. Winners of these awards are acknowledged not only for their aesthetic contributions but also for their ability to address complex urban challenges, enhance public spaces, and create environments that support social, environmental, and economic well-being.
