Lumezzane on Foot: an urban trek to rediscover the city with LAND
On the morning of Saturday 17 October, the Municipality of Lumezzane and LAND invited the community to an urban trek across Lumezzane, guided by the archaeologist Anna Lancini and closing with singer-songwriter Lorenzo Baglioni, to rediscover the city that was, is and will be.
A city can be crossed in many ways. But to truly discover it, sometimes it is enough to change pace. On the morning of Saturday 17 October, from 10 am to 12 pm, Lumezzane did exactly that: the urban trek, organised by LAND Italia and the Municipality of Lumezzane, invited residents to explore the territory, rediscover its places and imagine new perspectives for its future, as part of the project LUMEZZANE2030+.

Led by archaeologist Anna Lancini as the main guide of the trek, and accompanied by Martina Erba, Chiara Stucchi and Maddalena Ughi from LAND Italia, the participants read the city step by step, where the memory of what Lumezzane has been meets the vision of what it can become. The walk reached its final stop with singer-songwriter Lorenzo Baglioni, for a closing moment shared between places, people and new ideas.

The trek was part of “Lumezzane 2030+”, the initiative that from 8 to 17 October 2026 turned the city into a cutting-edge laboratory of regeneration. The project brings together the memory of industrial archaeology with the challenges of energy transition and sustainability, in the name of beauty and regeneration.
It follows the recent presentation of the Landscape and Environmental Masterplan, which outlines a long-term vision to reconnect production, Nature, public space and community life: “da paesaggio-officina a officina del paesaggio”, from Workshop Landscape to Landscape Workshop.
Walking the city adds something that a plan alone cannot offer. Because landscape is a shared resource and regenerating a city also means living it, crossing it and rediscovering it together.
