Landscaping under extreme conditions
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is pioneering a transformative approach to urban development, driven by the ambitious goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has launched the Green Riyadh Program to create vibrant, sustainable urban spaces for residents and visitors alike. As part of this program, LAND planned the 75-hectare Al Urubah Park, the first to be digitally driven.

The landscape design and consulting work of LAND Italia is inspired by the beauty and extraordinary variety of the region. The team capitalizes on connective capacity and the ability to shape the landscape through complex processes of urban regeneration and transformation, including in sensitive environmental and historic-cultural settings.
MENA
The Middle East and North Africa are marked by social upheaval, political conflict, and ecological visions. LAND MENA addresses the opportunities and challenges of rapid urban development and expanding cultural horizons in the region through landscape architecture and resilient urban planning that place people and their needs in the forefront.

In terms of societal transformation and climate change, LAND Suisse addresses unique challenges in Switzerland. In developing ecological infrastructure, accompanied by nature- and climate-positive design and actions, the team eagerly approaches every challenge to make landscapes and cities resilient and more livable for future generations.
LAND Research Lab
The Research Lab is the LAND group’s innovation and knowledge platform. It researches and develops novel methods and digital instruments to enhance urban climate resilience. Together with municipalities, businesses, and academic partners it drives research initiatives and offers science-based consulting at the intersection of sustainability and digitalization.

Urban Biodiversity Mapping
LAND Research Lab, in collaboration with the Polifactory team from Politecnico di Milano and wildlife experts from Studio TerraViva, conducted the T-Factor project in Milan Innovation District (2021 to 2023) to address climate change and biodiversity loss in urban areas by integrating nature-centric design principles.
The project aimed to identify and map the environmental, cultural, and social values of urban biodiversity to assist decision-makers in implementing conservation strategies aligned with the European Commission’s Biodiversity Strategy 2030 and the European Council’s objectives.

Communication, in particular raising public awareness, is an important part of resilient processes. News, Publications, LANDmagazine, and exhibition areas such as our Wunderkammer seek to establish and maintain contacts. The focus is on people and their needs.
