The Pompeo Leoni Urban Recovery Program, initiated in 1998, targets an area that was once the industrial site of OM, a truck manufacturing company.

Central to the intervention is the recovery of the “Roggia della Vettabia,” which includes the creation of a river park and the future development of the City Culture and Industrial Heritage Park.

A key feature of the project is the integration of industrial archaeology, where remnants of past industries emerge as artistic elements within a landscape. This park not only highlights but also enhances the natural characteristics and fabric of the Parco Agricolo Sud Milano (South Milan Agricultural Park). By opening up to the surrounding agricultural park, the project emphasizes the importance of natural landscapes and their synergy with urban recovery efforts.
