Vista dal Bo
Rooted in the values of History, Nature, Energy, and Innovation, the Udine Innovation Hub reimagines a former airfield as a forward-looking space of creativity and collaboration. The project’s vision begins with biodiversity and natural heritage, integrating them into a broader plan to build a dynamic, car-free ecosystem. Through an inclusive participatory process, stakeholders and local actors co-shaped the project to align with territorial identity and community aspirations.
The redesigned hangars will host laboratories for startups and shared spaces for local residents. At the core of the design is the Boulevard of Innovation, a connective axis that fosters interaction, mobility, and sustainable practices. More than a redevelopment, the masterplan offers a model for regenerative design that embraces sociality and promotes the ecological and historical value of the Campoformido landscape, particularly the unique magredo grasslands.
