UNaLab Inauguration – A Nature-based Solutions Laboratory For the City
After five years of work, the Gavoglio Park in Genoa on a former military area was entirely opened to the public. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
Splendid news to close 2022 in the best possible way with the opening of a a beautiful new green area in Genoa that respects the city’s vertical identity by projecting it into the future.

Gavoglio Park opening
The UNaLab project, a significant contributor to the 10,000 m2 big urban park in the Lagaccio district, has co-financed and brought to life 12 nature-based solutions. This model of development is not just vital for Genoa, but also serves as a replicable nature laboratory, mitigating hydro-geological risks and providing citizens with more green public space.
