The international landscape consultancy LAND, with offices in Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, strengthens its strategic foothold in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with a local presence in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The opening of its on-the-ground presence was officially announced during a special site visit held on September 17 at the iconic Al Urubah Park construction site, hosted by the contractor Al Yamama Group.

Prof. Andreas Kipar, founder of the international landscape consultancy firm LAND, was awarded the prize at the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund on August 30. He is the first landscape architect to be awarded this recognition by the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning (DASL) of North Rhine-Westphalia for his exceptional and pioneering achievements in urban and regional planning.

The prestigious Halstenberg Prize, named after the politician and regional planner Prof. Dr. Friedrich Halstenberg, will be awarded to Prof. Andreas Kipar.

The jury recognized the transformative value of the "Meda 2025 Laboratory of Nature-based Solutions" project at the award ceremony held last Friday in the Hall of Honor at the Triennale in Milan.

On Friday, May 31, at 2:30 p.m., architect Shirly Mantin illustrated to the authorities and the public the project for the environmental regeneration of the 24-hectare area occupied by the old production site.

Investigating the relationship between nature, artificial intelligence and urban space through the mediation of art is the aim of the talk launched by LAND on the occasion of the Fuorisalone at Milan Design Week 2024. A debate evocatively titled "What about nAIture? Dialogue between art and urban design", which sees Nikolas Neubert, CIO of LAND, discussing with the well-known digital artist Paola Pinna in the Wunderkammer exhibition space in via Varese 12.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 12th, at 11:00 a.m. near Piazza Roma, marking the beginning of the landscape redevelopment work on Viale Garibaldi. The event will feature the participation of Mayor Andrea Corsaro, LAND’s CEO and co-founder, landscape architect Andreas Kipar, and architect Liliana Patriarca.

The exhibition space, located via Varese 12, commissioned by Andreas Kipar, CEO and co-founder of LAND, tells the story of the innovative urban regeneration strategy capable of propelling Milan towards a more sustainable urban future.
