Leading Forward: Eva Krismann Joins LAND Austria as Director
We’re glad to welcome Eva Krismann as Director of LAND Austria. With a background in architecture and urban design, Eva brings international experience, a collaborative spirit, and a strong commitment to creating inclusive, sustainable environments that reconnect people with nature.
Eva Krismann joins LAND Austria as Director, bringing an international perspective shaped by her experience across architecture, industrial design, and urban planning. Throughout her career, Eva has worked at the crossroads of creativity and strategy, connecting people, disciplines, and ideas to deliver meaningful design outcomes.
“My path has been shaped by a deep curiosity about the world, both professionally and personally. I’ve always sought opportunities to challenge boundaries and connect design with human experience,” says Eva, reflecting on her approach to leadership and design.
Eva’s approach to leadership is grounded in empathy and collaboration, values that she first developed outside the traditional design world. “Early in my career, I led door-to-door fundraising campaigns for humanitarian organisations in Germany. Engaging directly with people and building teams taught me how to lead with empathy and understand public spaces on a very personal level.”
At the core of her work lies a belief that design can foster real change. “Public spaces can be catalysts for positive social, cultural, and ecological change,” she explains. “True inclusion means creating spaces that are accessible and welcoming to people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.”
Within LAND Austria, Eva will lead efforts to shape projects that reflect the LAND’s mission of #ReconnectingPeopleWithNature through inclusive, context-aware, and innovative design. “I see my role in connecting people, disciplines, and perspectives,” she says. “I’m committed to creating solutions that are not only relevant today but continue to have a positive impact in the long run.”
