LAND Italia: Valentina Galiulo appointed as Director
We are glad to announce the promotion of Valentina Galiulo as Director at LAND Italia, taking on a strategic leadership role focused on driving innovation at the intersection of climate resilience, ecosystem services, and digital transformation.
Based in our Milan office, Valentina will lead a multidisciplinary team dedicated to shaping the future of science-based consultancy in landscape architecture. She will guide the development of data-driven, climate-adaptive strategies and ensure the integration of applied research into impactful, scalable service offerings. Working closely with the LAND Research Lab and within the broader LAND Group, she will steer the scientific and strategic direction of the unit, secure international research funding, and cultivate strong collaborations with both academic partners and clients.
A PhD Architect with a doctorate from the University of Seville, Valentina brings extensive experience in interpreting metropolitan landscapes through cartography and open-source data. Her professional journey bridges architecture, academic research, and landscape consultancy, with a strong foundation in GIS-based tools, EU-funded research, and climate-focused strategies.
Her appointment marks a significant step in LAND’s commitment to applied innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the transformation of our landscapes in the face of global challenges.
