LAND Germany welcomes new Head of Strategic Business Development
We are glad to welcome back Susanne Gombert in her new role as Head of Strategic Business Development for our Düsseldorf office. For the occasion, we asked her about her journey and vision for the future.
Hello Susanne, and welcome back!
Could you please introduce yourself briefly for those who haven’t had the chance to get to know you yet?
It’s wonderful to be back! I’m an urban planner, a mother of three, and a passionate advocate for sustainable cities. My journey with LAND started 17 years ago, and since then, I’ve grown alongside the company— from leading our Düsseldorf office as General Manager to stepping into my new role as Head of Strategic Business Development for LAND Germany. I’m excited to embark on this next chapter and explore new horizons together!
What makes LAND special in your opinion?
LAND is vibrant, dynamic, and deeply rooted in its mission of Reconnecting People with Nature—and it’s the fantastic team that truly brings this vision to life.
As a mother, I feel an even greater responsibility to shape sustainable environments for future generations. At LAND, I get to merge my professional expertise with my personal values—because LANDscape is Life!
As you look ahead to 2025, what personal ambition or vision are you hoping to pursue?
2025 is a milestone year: LAND turns 35, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.
Returning from parental leave at such a pivotal moment fills me with energy and excitement for what lies ahead. My focus? Driving innovation, strengthening our processes, and shaping projects that truly put people at the center. More than anything, I want to set an example—not just as a professional, but as a mother—for my children and for a greener, more livable future.
