LAND at Placemaking Week Europe 2026

A new journey with Horizon Europe explores how vacant and underused spaces can become opportunities for more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful communities. The INUA project, launched with its recent kick-off meeting, brings together international partners to rethink how we use the built environment and how regeneration can happen without relying on resource-intensive new construction.

For the fifth consecutive year, Andrea Bulloni, Director at LAND Italia, joined YACademy’s Architecture for Landscape course in Milan. This year’s lesson explored how urban space has evolved in response to social, environmental and cultural changes, from theoretical reflections to contemporary examples across the city.

Works on the Cassarate River Park continue in Lugano with the launch of the first lot for the Piazza sul Fiume, marking a new phase in the project to improve the river’s safety, enhance its urban environment and redefine how the Cassarate is experienced within the city.

On September 25, Beatrice Magagnoli of LAND and Francesca Pintus of Oneworks will give a lecture at Politecnico di Milano, exploring the Mykolaiv Concept Masterplan, pilot projects and how urban planning can contribute to more sustainable, inclusive and resilient cities.

At Policlinico di Milano, a 7,000 sqm therapeutic roof garden and more than 100 new trees are bringing Nature into the infrastructure of care.

At Horti Aperti 2026, Andreas Kipar presented LAND’s vision for the Pavia Landscape Plan, exploring how natural capital, connected green systems and more space for trees can become strategic infrastructure for a more liveable and climate-resilient city.

The new sports and recreational hub in Canobbio has officially opened, bringing together sport, landscape, biodiversity and public space within a major green infrastructure designed by LAND Suisse.
