Expo 2030 Riyadh: Four Years to Go
With four years to go until Expo 2030, Riyadh opens its doors. The preparations are shaping a major international event and a new vision for the future of Riyadh, with Nature at the heart of its masterplan.
Four years from now, on 1 October 2030, Expo 2030 Riyadh will open its doors under the theme Foresight for Tomorrow, bringing together countries and organisations from around the world to explore new approaches to the challenges shaping our future.
The Expo is conceived as more than a global event: its masterplan places Nature at the heart of its vision, integrating landscape, innovation and technology to create a resilient and sustainable legacy for Riyadh.
LAND is contributing to this vision through the Expo 2030 Riyadh Concept Masterplan, developed alongside the international team led by LAVA Architects. Covering 610 hectares, the ongoing project explores how reconnecting with Nature can help to shape a more adaptive and liveable urban future for Riyadh.

The project brings together the expertise of LAND Italia, LAND MENA and LAND Research Lab, combining landscape design, regional knowledge and research to support the development of the masterplan. Working across different areas of expertise, our team contributes to a shared approach that connects landscape, climate and ecosystems, supporting the integration of Nature within the project.
