Attending the Sustainable Switzerland Forum 2025

As a partner of the NZZ Sustainable Switzerland initiative, which connects public and private institutions to foster sustainability in Switzerland, LAND took part in the annual Sustainable Switzerland Forum (SSF25) in Bern.

Bringing together leading companies, institutions, and change-makers, the the annual Sustainable Switzerland Forum (SSF25) explored pathways toward a more sustainable future. LAND contributed its perspective on how landscapes can serve as Natural Capital for future generations.

On the evening before the Forum (1 September), Andreas Kipar joined around 100 C-level executives for a unique gathering to reflect on responsible leadership in an age of acute climate challenges. The following day (2 September), the Forum featured thought-provoking discussions and best-practice exchanges on circular economy approaches, sustainable supply chains, and AI-driven energy management. Global perspectives from speakers such as Jim Hagemann Snabe (Chairman, Siemens Board) and Mathis Wackernagel (Co-Founder, Global Footprint Network) emphasized the urgency of bold leadership and systemic change.

The event powerfully underscored the interdependence of ecological sustainability, economic resilience, and social equity. By fostering open, cross-sector dialogue, SSF25 demonstrated how diverse voices can co-create scalable and resilient solutions to today’s challenges. In a rapidly urbanizing country like Switzerland, participants highlighted the need to prioritize ecological infrastructures, Nature-based Solutions, and innovative strategies for sustainable business development.

Held under the motto “Driving Change. Creating Impact.”, the Sustainable Switzerland Forum provided an inspiring platform for dialogue and exchange. An opportunity to connect with partners, share strategies for Nature-positive transitions, and reaffirm our commitment to shaping landscapes that create lasting value for People, Nature, and the economy.
