Stefano Roman joins Knowledge Exchange by Council for Australian-Arab Relations

Stefano Roman will join the “Knowledge Exchange: Adaptive Greening Solutions to Tackle Climate Change” forum, funded by the Council for Australian-Arab Relations (CAAR) and held at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh on June 6.

The “Knowledge Exchange: Adaptive greening solutions to tackle climate change”, is a joint initiative of the Council for Australia-Arab Relations (CAAR) with Victoria University. The project aims to provide a knowledge exchange platform for successful practices in greening solutions, discuss the critical barriers in implementing urban greening drivers and find innovative urban greening technologies across three nations – Australia, Bahrain, KSA – to promote climate-adaptive practices and initiate dialogue for bilateral business opportunities.

LAND Director Stefano Roman speaks about “How a new understanding of Nature can transform our urban habitats“. He will explore the importance of living soil continuity within the urban fabric, following the panel’s mission to share greening solutions for climate mitigation in cities. A best practice in this regard is Al Urubah Park, the first digitally driven park LAND designed for the Royal Commission for Riyadh City.

Our commitment to improving citizens’ well-being and climate resilience in the KSA capital will contribute to the conversation between the three countries on research, education, and sustainability, intended to cultivate international climate-friendly practices and foster new business opportunities.

The event takes place online, on June 6, from 9.50 to 10.10 AM.
