Lumezzane 2030+: a new strategic landscape vision for the city
The Landscape and Environmental Masterplan developed by LAND Italia was presented to the public as part of the “Lumezzane 2030+” programme, outlining a long-term vision to reconnect production, Nature, public space and community life.
The Lumezzane 2030+ Landscape and Environmental Masterplan, developed by LAND Italia for the Municipality of Lumezzane, has been presented to the local community as part of the programme “Lumezzane 2030+: da paesaggio-officina a officina del paesaggio”.
The public presentation took place in the former GS factory, itself a symbolic site of the city’s industrial history and future transformation, with Andreas Kipar introducing the strategic vision and the first pilot projects identified for the regeneration of Lumezzane beyond 2030.

The Masterplan builds on a detailed reading of the territory and on a participatory process involving local residents. More than 400 people contributed through a public questionnaire, highlighting places of particular value to the community as well as opportunities for improvement, from forests, historic centres and public spaces to the Gobbia Stream, trails, recreational areas and cultural and sports facilities.

Territorial Masterplan
From this process, the project defines four strategic themes: places for social interaction, the relationship between city and Nature, the new productive city, and mobility and accessibility. Together, they form a coordinated framework for strengthening connections between Lumezzane’s districts, industrial areas, ecological networks and everyday public spaces.
The Masterplan also identifies a first series of concrete pilot projects, including the enhancement of the areas around Torre Avogadro, the regeneration of San Sebastiano as a new green heart, and the creation of a new gateway to the Gobbia Park Greenway.

The first step towards Gobbia Park
Rather than changing Lumezzane’s productive identity, the vision seeks to build on it — transforming the relationship between industry, landscape and community and creating the conditions for a more connected, accessible and resilient city.
