Media Relations Specialist
At LAND, our Communications Team is young, international, and passionate about shaping the conversation around landscape, Nature and the future of cities. We are looking for a Media Relations Specialist to strengthen LAND’s international media presence and grow our visibility across landscape architecture, urban transformation, biodiversity and Nature-Positive development.
We are looking for someone curious, proactive and strategic, able to identify new opportunities and build long-term media relationships. A degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field and at least three years of experience in media relations, corporate communications or journalism are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement proactive media relations strategies that strengthen LAND’s international reputation and increase earned media coverage.Build, nurture and expand relationships with journalists, editors, publishers and media outlets across architecture, design, sustainability, business and mainstream media.
- Identify new publications, markets and editorial opportunities to broaden LAND’s visibility beyond its existing media network.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, press kits and other press materials.
- Proactively pitch stories, projects, research and thought leadership to relevant media, tailoring narratives to different audiences and markets.
- Monitor emerging trends, news agendas and industry conversations to identify timely opportunities for media engagement.
- Coordinate interviews, media requests and press appearances for LAND’s leadership and experts. Prepare executive talking points, briefing notes, messaging, and relevant data for interviews, conferences and public speaking engagements.
- Monitor, analyse and report on LAND’s media presence through regular press reviews and coverage analysis, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support the communication of project launches, awards, research initiatives, publications and strategic announcements.
- Manage and continuously update LAND’s international media database as well as the company’s digital and physical archive of press coverage, publications and editorial materials.
Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in media relations, press office, journalism or corporate communications.
- Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with journalists and securing high-quality editorial coverage.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, particularly for press releases, media materials and executive communications.
- Strong understanding of today’s media landscape, including both traditional and digital publications.
- Proven ability to identify newsworthy angles and transform complex topics into compelling stories.
- Excellent networking, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced international environment.
- Genuine interest in architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, climate resilience, sustainability or related fields is highly appreciated.
- Fluent in English and Italian (German/French/Arabic are considered a strong plus).

The role offers a hybrid working model; however, candidates based in Milan or the surrounding area are preferred.
