The site, managed by Artisa Developer, the real estate development company of the Artisa Group, is located at the intersection of Via Ceresio and Via alla Bozzoreda in Pregassona, a suburb of Lugano. It enjoys a strategic position well connected to the road infrastructure network, with the ‘Bozzoreda’ bus stop nearby. The area, which has a strong urban character, will host three buildings with 47 apartments and some commercial activity and will also be the object of redevelopment regarding roads and green spaces.
The urban and landscape development presents an exciting opportunity to reimagine public spaces with the broader community in mind. Aligned with Lugano’s strategic and planning vision, this project adds a new green asset to the city’s landscape, becoming an integral part of the Cassarate River Green Radius Masterplan developed by LAND in 2011. Via alla Bozzoreda and Via Ceresio serve as urban green axes, enhancing connectivity within this vital landscape system.
This transformation envisions an inspiring area featuring vibrant, diverse communal spaces rooted in inclusivity, biodiversity, resilience, connectivity, and well-being.
“In cities, the desire for nature is fundamental to improving people’s quality of life. As landscape consultants, we focus on creating public spaces as ‘green infrastructure’ to reconnect people with nature while promoting social inclusion and climate adaptation. The landscape development project in Via Ceresio aims to increase urban permeability by establishing a vital, natural public space for the Pregassona community,” explains Andreas Kipar.
